Multi-variation listings refer to Amazon product links with differences in attributes like color, size, style, or quantity, allowing buyers to choose products according to their preferences or needs. Typically, in multi-variation products, only one or a few variants are the best-sellers, while the others are auxiliary. This requires us to prioritize stocking or advertising these best-selling variants. Today, we will introduce several methods for quickly determining the best-selling variants in multi-variation products.
Open the product's listing details page and use the SellerSprite extension's "Variants" feature to compare the monthly sales of each variant in the last month. The monthly sales figures here are preceded by the Amazon 'a' icon, indicating that the data is sourced from Amazon search results and is highly referenceable. This method is only applicable to products where Amazon displays sales data. If Amazon does not display sales data, and the parent and children variants shares the BSR ranking, then the displayed data will only represent the parent's sales in the past 30 days.
In SellerSprite's "Reverse ASIN," search for any variant's ASIN, and it will display all variants of the product and the number of traffic keywords. Generally, the more traffic keywords an ASIN has, the more sources of traffic it has, and its corresponding sales are higher. This method is suitable for situations where you only need to identify the best-selling variants and cannot directly determine the sales of each variant.
If you want to know not only which variant of a product is the best-seller but also want to know the approximate sales of each variant, and the product does not display Amazon sales data, making it impossible to directly view the sales of each variant, then we recommend using SellerSprite's "Review Analysis" feature. Generally, the higher the number of reviews, the higher the corresponding sales for that ASIN, so you can find the best-selling variant by looking at the number of reviews. Then, by multiplying the parent's monthly sales by review ratios for each variant, you can estimate the approximate sales of the variants. However, please note that since this feature collects all reviews and ratings from the listing's inception, the review count proportion may also be influenced by historical sales and may not necessarily represent recent sales trends for the product.
